I am very suspicious of Bejen and his motives.

We know that he he can't pass through the Wall because he is "undead". The same holds true for The Others and the white walkers. We also know that because the Night's King marked Bran, they were able to bypass the magical protection that the Three Eyed Raven's cave had. So........

What if Bejen is working with The Others and his mission was to get Bran safely to The Wall so he could pass through to the southern side? We can't.be sure if it's true, but if the Wall has the same magical protection as the cave, it seems to me that The Others could fillow him in the same way that they did at the cave.

Is this too obvious? It seems to make sense based on what we know.

Wasnt the mark on bran so the night king knew where bran was?
When did it neutralise any magical protections?
Didn't they always know where Bran was, but couldn't get to him because of the magocal protection? It was only after he was marked by the King that they could enter. Or am I conflating things from the books and the show?

Benjen is a Stark. No way he goes over the enemy.

On the mark - depends if the magic protecting the Wall is the same as that protecting the tree, I suppose. Or, more likely, it depends on whichever is more convenient for the writers...

I wouldn't think Benjen would be working with or for the Night's King. I agree with Culhwch that Benjen is still a Stark, feels like he is just trying to do what he can to help, even though he is one of the undead (sorta anyway).

I have to admit though that I remain unsure of how exactly Bran was marked in the first place. He never physically touched Bran. Also unsure how Bran was even seeing what he was seeing? He didn't appear to have warged into any physical creature, animal, tree, or otherwise. Is he just throwing his mind into the wind so to speak? If so how did the Night's King touch him in the first place?

Even if the magic of the Wall is no longer in place and he can now follow Bran, it is still a 700 foot high wall, it will still require a lot more than just walking into a cave. So it still has to come down in order for most of the white walkers to come through. Am I correct that in the show the Horn of Winter has not been presented?

^^^^^ That.

Although IS this JUST Benjen? I mean - Coldhands? If this is an amalgamation of book characters - could there be other traits that are non-Stark/Good guy?

Or are we going to see the White Walkers leaping up the walkers like in World War Z.
No I would think they will get through one of the gates after a battle. Is it clear that there is any magical protection to stop them getting through? Other than how the wall never melts.

After my above post it was pointed out to me that there is a scene outside of the cave where the Night's King pounds the ground and the ice and snow split and shatter! Guess that may hold true for the Wall as well if the magic fails.

But it's not as if The Others don't know the location of the Wall. If they wanted it down it would be down already

I agree with Imp on this one. The magics of the Wall are ancient, and (inferring here; it's been a little while since I've read the books) lost. Unless the Others have yet to find the source or counter to the magics of the Wall, it'll stay standing. It's the Horn of Winter that concerns me, and I don't recall seeing it in the show yet, but don't quote me on that.

I'm not sure the cave was protected, as much as a place that was hidden. By the Night King connecting with Bran literally in the vision, it allowed him to connect with his location in the physical world.

Or was it stated/implied there was magic protecting the cave? If so, perhaps only at the entrance(s)?

I do believe the magic of the Wall remains, as Imp said if they could bring it down, they would have done so. Just two possibles: Winter is only just beginning, perhaps it is not yet cold enough south of the Wall. The other is yes only the Horn of Winter can bring it down-on that I believe that ole broken down horn Sam is carrying around is it.
