The Expanse Season 2 Trailer & Promo

Great news. I just recently watched The Expanse and was thoroughly impressed.
 
Me too, but I have that agonising wait for the blu-ray to be released.
 
just finished on a binge-ish watch of this (it was over a week, so not sure if that counts...) and i don't think i can go back to dark matter and killjoys after it. it's blown them out of the water. i really enjoyed it and thought it was great they way they tried to fit proper science to the fiction - the vacuum of space and gravity on ships being two examples. i also liked how the character are, for the most part, sensible. when they encountered strange, nasty stuff on the stealth ship, they shut things down, got the hell out and nuked it. i can't recall many "you idiot!" moments, which really irk me and make me dislike characters. and i thought the characters were good too. good development for the most part.

and not long now until the next season. am looking forward to it
 
Does anyone know what Netflix's release plan is for season 2? Will they release each episode as soon as it airs on Syfy? Or will they release them all at once after Syfy's run has finished?

My understanding is that it will simultaneous at February.

The Expanse Season 2 will kick off with a double-episode premiere on February 8th at 10 pm. The season will consist of 13 episodes.

I watched this with my girlfriend over the weekend. Stood up to a second viewing and my gf enjoyed it too. Role on series two.
 


I hope Netflix don't blaster original series on top of this like they've done recently with so many other shows. This is SyFy's original stuff, not Netflix's just like it happens to be with the BSG.
 
I just hope Syfy doesn't do what Syfy usually does with its best shows and cancel it after four seasons :mad:

Daniel and Ty seem to be pretty hands on with the production, which I think bodes well for the future of the show. Can't wait for season 2.
 
Legendary* Scott Manley explaining some of the Expanse science.


Why legendary? In his youtube channel Manley has done some pretty remarkable exploits in the Kerbal Space Program. Some feats has been done live to tens of thousands eyes, and what remarkable is his ability explain all things difficult. In understandable form.

At the video the Expanse engines, gravity turns, burn rates et cetara has been explained very, very well even to an average person.

I think I will rewatch season 1 before starting on s2.so, that's me ignoring this thread for a couple of weeks at least. :)
 
There is a podcast called The Churn that digests each episode after it is run. Both authors are interviewed plus some of the cast . I have only heard the first one and the actress playing Naomi was the guest. Well worth a listen to.
 
I finally decided to buy Season 2, rather than watching it on Space with the commercials. Even though I have it PVR'd, it still gets interrupted. I own Season 1, and it was such a pleasure to watch the full episodes. This is a great show. So glad it has has been renewed for another season. I hope they will have a production diary like they did last year.
