Has anyone come across this book and have any views on it? This and it's sequel appear to be self-published and the third book is with Head of Zeus. It is clearly inspired by the likes of Bernard Cornwell but set in 633 AD, a little earlier than his Last Kingdom books.
The reason I ask is that I have been offered a free book from a choice of about 100 books. Most of those are the kind of romance books that always present a bare heavily muscled male upper body on the front cover. Thanks, but no thanks. This is one of the more interesting looking books and as it's free is no big risk. Just wondered if anyone else has come across it and has any views.
