The story here is that this is what we could have seen as the sequel to the original Star Wars film - if it had performed poorly at the box office:

I liked that book. It might have made a decent film.

Splinter of the Minds Eye is the only Star Wars Graphic Novel I ever read. Very enjoyable. Probably not quite Empire Strikes Back..
