My daughter found a Wonder Woman origin book at the library yesterday and obsession very quickly followed. Does anyone here know of any Wonder Woman cartoons or comics that are 4 year old friendly? I'm mostly concerned about violence - reading is not an issue.

Your best bet may be anthologies of older stories like the ones presented in the Showcase Presents series. These are essentially reprints of comics written during an era when comics were written specifically for kids. They're great buys; you get a lot of comics for a low price.

Not really a WW fan but I'd agree with Classysturgeon that older stories will likely be more suitable. You can get the 1940's stories (known as the "Golden Age") in the DC Archives series of books (seven volumes). These are very nice quality, hardback collections around 240 pages in colour.

The Showcase editions collect comics from the mid-1950s ("Silver Age") and run to 500+ pages but are in black and white. From the same period is also DC Archive volume one (so not a direct reprint of the same title).

A look on Amazon tells me that the prices for the DC Archives are rather high (as is normal for DC Archives) and that the stories are rather weak (normal for comics of that age) - but a four year old may think differently.

However, rather than Amazon try the fabulous www.cheap-comics.com for much better prices for the DC Archives and slightly better for the Showcase.

I managed to get a reprint of some of the golden age stuff - I've had a look through and it does seem suitable, so thanks for the help guys.
