Anyone a fan of Whitley Strieber's 80's-mid 90's horror novels. He wrote The Hunger and The Wolfen, but what was amazing was Catmagic. I'm about to read The Night Church, which looks like a good October book. His recent novels are amazing also, if you're interested in more of a creepy sci-fi thing with aliens and other fringe topics. Buy his older stuff is definite!y worth a look if you're into classic horror.

Anyone read The Night Church or Black Magic? I'm going to read them soon.

If you haven't read some of his alien stuff, do so. Communion is based on his real experiences and is scary as hell.

But Catmagic, that is a brilliant horror novel.

I read "The Wolfen" when it first came out, I enjoyed it a lot.
I also have "The Hunger" & "The Forbidden Zone" but alas they are part of my ever growing pile of to-be-reads!

Yea War For Souls was amazing, as well as his other newer novels, post-2000 or so.

But his older stuff in particular is great Halloween/October reading because they have those classic horror elements like werewolves, Vampires, satanism, witchcraft, etc. I'm a big fan and I'm planning on reading more 80s horror.
