Harry Shearer, who voices 23 different characters for The Simpons, is taking Vivendi - owner of Universal - to court over the rights to Spinal Tap.

Turns out that Shearer, despite being a co-creator of Spinal Tap, has only seen royalties of $81 to date - so has applied to the courts in California not only to reclaim $125 million in owed monies from Vivendi, but also a return of all intellectual rights:

Harry Shearer Files $125 Million 'Spinal Tap' Fraud Suit, Copyright Termination

One to watch.

That's awful! $81 for a work of comedy genius? I hope Vivendi wake up and Smell the Glove.

Saw Spinal Tap a few years ago at Glastonbury and they were still freaking awesome.:)
