Just re-watched this - haven't seen it since I saw it when first released at the cinema.

And, wow - still a very powerful film. The filming, the music, the acting, all come together in a beautifully haunting way.

Clever stuff.

Funny, I never got the reason for the title when I first watched it.

And the way everyone kept staring at Clarise...
 
Classic suspense film! You have to love it! ;)

Those Clarice/Lecter confrontations, were truly awesome both on-screen and behind the camera: the editing, the lighting, camerawork and tight script, made for really tense moments, especially when Lecter skillfully peels away at cocky Clarice's thin veneer of trying to be something she clearly isn't!

Fava beans anyone?
