What's the book?

A book about a woman that chased her enemy back through time In her space ship to stop the destruction of mankind. I also know she crashed on earth in the ocean was saved by a retired military man in a sailboat. He had to cut off her suit which was very difficult, and she repaired it by connecting it to a Russian nuclear generator.
