Anyone interested in Riyria Revelations and Chronicles by Michael J. Sullivan ? I discovered his books recently and I became a real fan. I also enjoyed *Age of Myth*, from the First Empire seria.

P.S. If there is a similar thread on the forum, I apology in advance and be grateful if you can provide the link.

I read The Crown Tower, which was pretty decent. There were some weaknesses at the start, not least long stretches of dialogue without even tags, and a street urchin talking in grammatically correct English. It was also far too short for the novel it claimed to be.

However, the characters of Royce and Hadrian were absolutely superb - I would definitely be up for reading more about them and their development.

I've read the trilogy (technically I think it's six books, but bundled up into three pairs) and really enjoyed them. I do plan on returning to Sullivan's stuff later on but haven't had the time since.

His best books so far are those published under The Riyria Revelations (or the *trilogy* as mentioned above). My favorite is the last one, Heir of Novron.
I enjoyed The Crown Tower only because we find out how Hadrian and Royce have met. The author admitted he had to write another book because of his wife who wanted more of Hadrian stories. The problem rise when he finished The Rose and The Thorn (which is now the 2nd chronicle) and realised he made a mistake in chronology. He had to write quickly The Crown Tower (now the 1sr chronicle) before publishing the 2nd. If we have to compare the Revelations with the Chronicles, the later are definetely too shorts for novels. I expect that the 4th chronicle, currently in developpment, will have the same issue, but as a recognised fan, I will pardon him because of Hadrian and Royce characters.
