I think it worth noting that it is entirely possible to have narration that overlaps the three types profiled. Your objective narrator could be privy to the immediate feelings of the characters without their thoughts, being both objective and omniscient at the same time.
Once you have the narration thing down, then read up on unreliable narrators and consider how they might apply. (Iain M. Banks Use of Weapons being a particularly interesting use of unreliable third person narration.)
