...but I found the recording of bees moving "footballs" around in this Grauniad article interesting.

I thought this was going to be a joke article, but I've just seen it come up on New Scientist:
Bees learn to play golf and show off how clever they really are

In short, even bees have basic problem solving skills, and can learn unfamiliar tasks in unfamiliar environments.

Amazing.
