Stephen Furst RIP

Perfect as Kent "Flounder" Dorfman, but also proved his versatility as an actor by playing good parts in St Elsewhere, and of course Babylon 5

"I can't believe I threw up in front of Dean Wormer!"

Classic

- RIP Steve!

Aw, boo. I was kind of hoping this wouldn't be the actor who played Vir. :(

He tells a great little story on YouTube of going to the casting auditions for Babylon 5. Basically, everything went wrong before he finally arrived all flustered and apologetic, and the casting director simply pointed and said, "Oh my god, it's Vir!"

There's also a very long interview here from 2002 about his acting career to date:
An Interview with Stephen Furst - IGN

Talk on B5 doesn't really begin until halfway down page 4. He does make a few comments on Star Trek actors before then. :)

Vir Cotto: I'd like to live just long enough to be there when they cut off your head and stick it on a pike as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price. I would look up at your lifeless eyes and wave like this.
[gives a mockingly cheerful finger waggle]
Vir Cotto: Can you and your associates arrange this for me, Mr. Morden?
... not long enough.

Oh no! We're going to be watching Animal House in September as it takes place at the beginning of the 1962 school year. Sorry to hear he passed so soon.
