I got a little confused. I thought it was Dal, but then it is Ulric who is washing his underwear and uncomfortable because he put them back on wet.

I also wanted to let you know that I gave the book 5 stars on Barnes and Noble. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

As I mentioned in my B&N review, the only problem I had was the text had a lot of squares where I'm sure there was supposed to be something. Very similar to when someone texts you an emoji that you don't have. I don't know if this was a problem with the ebook, or my settings for font size, my equipment, etc. I'm curious if anyone else had issues, but considering most readers were using the Amazon product I am going to guess no.

Many, many thanks for that - very much appreciated. :)

it is Ulric who is washing his underwear

We only see Ulric's POV here, and he states that they both washed away from each other. Ulric also makes a point in that scene that he doesn't have much experience with horses. Whereas we know from Dal's references to riding the cart horses at the iron camps that he does - and therefore may have been more aware of the need to keep his clothing as dry as possible. Hope that helps. :)

the text had a lot of squares

Ah, I'm really sorry about that. A big problem with the Nook format is that there is no way to review the text - except on a Nook, which I don't have. There is an online checker, but the text doesn't display properly. I did contact Nook support about this, but they simply shrugged. Having checked the B&N page I can also see that the book cover image has somehow disappeared, too, so I'll need to fix that.
