I suppose it was inevitable, but it seems the actual sex robots are under development. This particular article talks about the fears that pedophiles will buy child shaped sex robots and this will make them even more desirous for real kids.

A few years ago, LOVE+SEX with ROBOTS was published. I think I read my copy of it, but details escape me. I suppose it should have addressed this problem. Maybe I will take a 2nd look at it.
