(Found) Finding a newer trilogy for young adults.

The book is on a newly colonized planet, where men can hear each other's thoughts but not women's. There are no women in the town because the men went insane and killed all the women. The main character is the last person within his town to become an adult. While in the swamp outside the town he finds a girl, which the village wants to kill. They run away towards the only government to warn them. The town intended to master their power to take over the entire planet but wanted to wait until the boy became of age. The town gets there first. (Book 1)

Within the government 'city' are alien life used as slaves. Eventually, a whole tribe of the aliens wants revenge and attempts to kill off the humans. The humans put aside their differences to fight the menace. (Book 2)

More colonists arrive in a crashed space ship with extraordinary power. It becomes a power struggle over who can convince the colonists which people are the good guys. (Book 3)

Did a dog die in book one? I think it might be The Knife of Never Letting Go (book 1), the Chaos Walking Series by Patrick Ness. But i've only read book one and it has been awhile....

Yes! It is the "Chaos Walking" series! Thanks, when in middle school I read the books so fast I didn't pay attention to the title of the books.
