Chrispenycate messaged me, and I've let him know I will be at the convention on Thursday. I'll be looking out for him, and the other Chronners who may be attending that day.
Worldcon is being held at a huge conference center in the Helsinki neighborhood named Pasila ... which has a 1970s, Soviet-era vibe to the architecture. Not the prettiest part of town, but public transportation is terrific, and very easy to use, and there are many nice things to do in the greater Helsinki area.

Had a very good time at the one day of Worldcon I was able to attend. I ran into Morpheus and Nesa, and had a little chat with them. Lovely people. I missed chrispenycate at the Con, but had a long, very enjoyable lunch with him Saturday. Seems a true gentleman (happy to have spent time with you, Chrispy).
The event seemed very well attended, by a fun-loving crowd of SF&F fans. Great atmosphere. I went to a number of interesting lectures; my favorite were the pictorial history of costuming at Worldcons (photos back to the 1940s, I believe), and one on the (anticipated) future and influence of Cli-Fi. Very good stuff.
My wife and I have a dream of attending Dublin in 2019. We shall see, but it could make for an amazing Chrons get-together!
