Worth getting this book series or does it turn out to be a load of twonk?

Very different and conflicting reviews/ comments online.

I know some in Chrons have read these three books so anybody got comments?

Thanks
Danny

Hey Danny, I read the series. Well read book one and two, and audio booked the last one.

I loved book one. It was written in a strange style, with short sentences, and a little out there structure, but I really enjoyed it.

Overall, i'd say give it a go. It was way different than the TV series, which I don't think did a great job. Especially that second season mess they tried.

I've also read Dark Matter by Crouch which I would put on par with the first Wayward book.

I say give book one a try!

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try the first one.
I saw it last week on offer in a local bookshop so probs get it tomorrow :)

Been scrolling through my ebook TBR file and I have Dark Matter

Thanks

Update...

I already had the first book in my TBR ebook file as well!
This has happened to me before, got a book and then found I already owned it but hadn't yet read it.
Gonna organise a spreadsheet (some day!) to keep track of all these. Ebooks first and maybe do my real books later :)

I tried to read the first book but could not get into it. Watched the TV show and that was pretty good but the second season feels like a rehash of the first with different actors.

I enjoyed the series. There is some suspension of disbelief required in places but I loved the creeping mystery.
