Party Lines (telephones) in Fiction

got me thinking about party lines in fiction. There's Lovecraft's "Dunwich Horror," but surely there must be other stories of suspense, the weird, etc. that made use of them. Can anyone think of more?

Can't think of any stories that used them, but having had a party line in my youth, we knew one thing was a given: Somebody was always listening in.
