Why do Star Wars fans already hate these guys? They're so cute!!

The inevitable comparison to the Ewok from ROTJ would play a part, I suppose. It doesn't take a lot to upset any fandom.

I'm not too bothered by cuteness. The is aimed at children, after all.

It's the downgrade from Han Solo to a furry potato that is the problem. I would have appreciated if Chewie would have gone out to month long binge drinking and totalled Millenium Falcon on some galactic lightpole than accepting these things to help the ship. I guess the fear is that these are new Jar-Jar-Binks as there are two of them, instead of just one.

White wine with space penguins, for sure.
