Yay, more Killjoys goodness!

Well this episode went somewhere I didn't think it would. They'd teased the idea of Dutch and D'Avin hooking up way back at the beginning of the show but moved away from that when his interest in Pawter developed, only for them to suddenly break it up with the good doctor for no real reason (imo) but to give him the chance to finally satisfy those urges with Dutch. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I think I have to side with John on this matter, as he explains it quite well to their friendly bartender.

And a nice guest appearance from Amanda Tapping.

Was some great moments this episode. Revealing more of what happened to D'Avin, him stabbing John against his will, and the fallout of that... very moving. Although I am surprised how well of a fight he put up against Dutch, really letting down her whole mysterious elite assassin persona they were trying to portray.

I also feel a little cheated that nothing much seemed to come of Pawter's arrest in the previous episode. I guess she really did go over the guy's head and pull some strings with her familial ties.

1.07 Kiss, Kiss, Bye, Bye

Hey, who ended up in cuffs in the cargo hold? Beating another trained killer twice her weight who was acting under remote control -- and managing to not end his life, I would say, more than validates Dutch's prowess as a major league master of the martial arts.

Bad judgment from both Dutch and D'Avin, but sometimes mutual attraction is simply too powerful to resist. We've all been there, if we've been lucky, that is.

In the aftermath of this emotionally charged episode, John is not the only one who needs healing before the team can come together again. May not be enough of the season left to credibly get there.

I like that the latest episode focuses on John's character development - how he's always been the steady, reliable one holding everything together and fixing things and now HE AIN'T GONNA TAKE NO NONSENSE NO MORE!

Good for you, John!

The whole D'avin supersoldier sleeper plot along came much more quickly than I had expected it would. I'm also not so sure about him and Dutch, so quickly after him and Pawter. I'm with @REBerg regarding Dutch as an elite assassin though, anyone else would have been dead. John would be dead if Pawter hadn't pulled all those strings. A much better plot arc driven episode.

Why bad judgement ? They are young, singles and beautiful. That mutual attraction was quite normal for me.

I had pity of D'avin after this episode.

And I wish I had a ship like Lucy. :)
