(found) Kind of know the story, no clue what the title is

This sci fi book, as far as I remember, is about a ship full of kids that are transported to a planet to basically become child slaves. While being enslaved, one of the kids(main character) starts to figure out that he has special abilities. These abilities were either to physically enter computers and other tech, or it was just the ability to upload his consciousness to any computer. I don't think I read all of it because I was in middle school and had to return it to the library, but everything I wrote is what I remember. As far as when I read it, it had to have been somewhere around 2007 to 2010
