DISCUSSION THREAD -- December 2017 75-word Writing Challenge

One for the admins please:

Does ‘horror’ come under ‘speculative fiction’?

My idea for my story doesn’t include any horror with this being family friendly but definitely has ties.
Horror would come under speculative fiction.
The theme and genre are a guide, everyone has their own interpretation, go with what your comfortable with.

The one rule we are very strict with is word count, go over and it is outside the hour editing window, entry removed and unable to re-enter until next challenge. You're still allowed to vote(y)

Sorry....

I know it's terrible. I'll get my coat:oops:
It's a horror story, all right. An all too believable one. I like it.

Able to read the entries this month, as I'm out.

I have an urge to let loose the Dark Lord once more with his 'reviews'. Just hope that I can tread on the Minion's typing fingers before then.

I wasn't sure I'd be able to get an idea this month, given how busy it is and this bad cold, but I finally got one.:)

Now I just need to put it into order and trim the words a bit.

Okay, I'm really getting angry at Miss Muse. She went and inspired 13 stories already, and as it's my birthday and a work day all reviews will be temporarily on hold.

Sorry. :D

I'm surprised at how easy that was to pull together. I still feel like I've not got it quite right. I'm glad to have entered, though.:)

I know it's a bit sentimental, but I find doing dark stories rather difficult at this time of year.

Starting reviewing on the sixth of the month is not a optimal choice, but better now than later. Each story lets us know the answer to when the present story is important to know.

@Ashleyne .... MITTON'S CHRISTMAS FAIRY TALE .... When the Cats in play and the fairies need to stay away.

@SilentRoamer .... Concepts 4 4D Beings .... When you're time constrained the world is a confusing place.

I so want to play with that idea of "present."

@Cat's Cradle .... Moments of Home .... When being present is more important than having one.

@Luiglin .... Festive Cracker .... When men become mere pull toys.

@Victoria Silverwolf .... The Universal Roll Call .... When you need to change the way things are seen.

@Calliopenjo .... Something From the Heart .... When you want to express your love.

@Pedro Del Mar .... The Lament Configuration .... When opening the present really means opening in the present.

@Perpetual Man .... Paradoxical Present .... When the cat is in the present and all mysteries are erased.

Great idea Perp!

@nixie .... The Clock on the Wall .... When time stands still for the judge's appearance.

@chrispenycate .... Ask Me for Anything but Time....
When disaster looms in the present.

@ASleepyGiraffe .... As The Clock Ticks .... When you can give the best gift of all

@D.A. Xiaolin Spires .... The Present Is the Present .... When you realize what you can and must do.

@Shyrka .... Savour the Moment .... When you really need to slow down and taste.

@Talysia .... Blessings.. .... When you need a real pick-me-up.

Well done crew! I think that was about the highest continual quality of workmanship this challenge has ever known.

For Calliopenjo: A box of valentines.

For Pedro Del Mar: A Books of Blood boxed set.

For Perpetual man: A quantum of uncertainty.

Happy birthday, Parson!! And thank you for the review.

Victoria Silverwolf-- thanks for all the presents. The space under the tree is shrinking!
