[Rumor] U.S.S Callister TV Series?

The world can handle three different space trek shows on at the same time. C'mon Netflix!

I'm sure I read a quote from some top TV executive a few years ago that space trek series were finished. I may have imagined it, as I can't seem to Google for it, but I'm sure it was around the time that Firefly got cancelled. Anyhow, assuming that I didn't imagine it, he would now sound as stupid as the Decca Records executive who told The Beatles that they had no future in show business because,"Groups are out; four-piece groups with guitars are finished!"

Oh if there was any way Firefly could come back. There would be no perfect time. Although, I believe that U.S.S Callister would be one of the most feminist Trek-based shows ever made.

On second thought, maybe U.S.S Callister by itself wouldn't be a great TV series. What about a TV series about nerdy fanboys being villains and ruling their own game? A whole crop of episodes could revolve around that topic and still maintain Black Mirror like status.
