I don't think there's a link @EPT Henry , i think the literal translation of puta from Spanish is the other form of "female dog" which, as in English, has been turned into a derogatory term

@Abernovo .... Boundaries and Jurisdictions .... when you are meeting out justice everything has to be done by regulations and the book.

Thank you, Victoria, and Parson, for the reviews.

Yep, it's Spanish and well-known in much of the US (even among English-only speakers) so you might want to be careful how you use it beyond the Chronicles.

I've also just realised that you can't edit or delete posts on here? For the sake of not offending anyone I had changed my mind and was going to alter her name but I can't anyway!

Ah well, it's historically accurate and unoffensive if you are a Roman. Hopefully people won't mind...

I don't think it's necessary to edit or delete the post. But it can be done with the help of a Moderator. Brian, Nixie, The Judge, are some of the more active of them.

Actually I'm the winner, and Cathbad you're the first loser.

That's a very good one, @Hugh! I laughed at the conclusion...and also felt very sad for the folks in that line of work. :(

Well I'm posted. And I haven't been struck by lightning yet, so the big Z must not be displeased!
