Beautifully animated and scored, but it didn't hold my attention after the excellent opening, which did a great job of introducing the world and characters.

I found it odd that Mexicans spoke English with the more obvious words (like si and gracias) in Spanish - that must be confusing for children, and plenty of adults.

After not completely holding my attention, I thought the ending was one of the most beautiful endings to a film I've ever seen. So it's not one of Pixar's best (Toy Story 1 & 3 and Finding Nemo are my favourites), but THAT ending pushed the film up a notch and turned a 7/10 into an 8/10 - enough to make it a must-see in my opinion.

Just finished watching this - thought it was classic Pixar. :)

I didn't think a story about the Mexican Day of the Dead would hold my interest - but then again, the same could have been said about a rat that wants to cook, or an old man journeying with a boy scout, or a recycling robot...

Good, clever full-on family fun. :)
