I remember looking around Bletchley park when the Sealed Knot did a display there once, but I have never been there since it became more organised. I guess it being on my doorstep when I lived in Milton Keynes meant I rather took it for granted and never got around to visiting again.

I seem to remember that that tape reader had speed of 600cps. Impressive, considering that in 1966 a machine I worked on had a paper tape reader with the same speed and that the speed was considered at the top of the range for reading tape without damaging it.

I thought I had posted this already, but can't find it in this thread. I took this photo in 2012. They've changed things around since then, so that I don't think you can get this close to it any longer. The pully wheel frame is a bedstead.

I think that is photoshop. it includes a Viewmaster disc which was smaller than that and which was viewed through binocular lenses rather than the apparent CRT display shown here.
Very amusing though.
