A fun little story - now you know the way to Middle Earth - via Didcot. :)
Narnia signs 'to change views of town'

Which reminds me of a novel one of our member's wrote. :)

Amusing - although I could see some causing confusion. Narnia and Middle Earth are fine; but 100 acre wood could seriously have people looking for it.

I liked that the police said that it "was amusing... but still vandalism."

Before Toby, Robert Rankin had a whole series of books with titles around the West of London, including: The Brentford Triangle, East of Ealing, The Sprouts of Wrath, The Brentford Chainstore Massacre, and The Witches of Chiswick.

I have a friend who grew up in Wantage, and I can tell you that there isn't a great deal to do between Didcot and Swindon, so I image they were just very bored (of the Rings.)

I saw this on the BBC website, and was struck by the sheer professionalism of the work! Placing, spacing, font - all exactly right...:D
