A troubled survivor finds allies in an unexpected place; the life Madison has fought to build comes under threat.

No current candidates for the kill-list. All is well.

A baseball stadium is an unexpected site for the latest settlement attempt by the survivors.
That gate would never withstand a walker horde or a militant group of scavengers. On the plus side, the place will never run out of seating.
Fortunately, the Vultures and their leader seem a bit less bloodthirsty than the Saviors and Negan. Luring the stray walkers in the stadium parking lot into a truck with a boombox on a bicycle was a much more efficient (and humorous) solution than taking them out individually by hand-to-hand slicing and dicing. I'm wondering how that standoff was resolved.
I didn't see the treachery from Charlie coming, although her fiddling with the radio was a clue that she was up to something.

Not really. I mentioned about one in the last season, when they encountered the Trading Station in California. Their Texas stadium wasn't any different. They simply didn't had enough of people to hold it permanently. Too big place. Too many walls, doors, fences, whatever was used to overrun Madison's little dream. It's clear that it went down just like every other place and we don't get to even enjoy speculating how long they could have lasted there if Nick had learned to build raised beds instead of digging into the sandy ground and getting into trouble.

What's fortunate is that they have power and running, clear water. They don't even have to worry about filling the septic tanks, because 12 people can do it forever to reach the capacity designed for the thousands. So, it's really down to the living and their inability to live in peace with each other. The Vulture's Chief isn't clearly a wise man if he think bully tactics are the only solution!

Hell, I bet Luciana could have sneaked out from the camp to poison their drinks and food, if cutting throats were out from the fashion. Even Nick could had done it, despite having PTSD's. Those things are nasty but they don't prevent you from living your life or doing what needs to be done. He got out from the camp to ran against the only light pole in the parking lot as it has been tradition for so many people. So, no problem, the Vultures are alive because we're on the beginning of the season. I'll vote the Chief Vulture to being put on the kill-list. He deserves it for being stupid and not diplomatic.

Damn those little girls. You can never trust them. Newt was the same and she got the Alien to do her dirty business.

When they said "Before" I thought they were going to show what happened after the dam burst and how Alycia returned, rather than over a year later. Either way we know the main characters survive which dampens the excitement a tad. Well maybe Daniel didn't survive long after the dam burst? He may pop up though.

That said this was a very enjoyable episode. Hopefully the bad guy situation will be resolved dramatically within a couple of episodes as is usually the Fear way. It does seem the family had few worries before that for a while judging from how they split into pairs when entering an unknown town.
Morgan didn't look impressed with Nick.

We don't know and I really don't want to check it out from IMDB casting list to be sure about it. Daniel at the end should rest in peace, because he couldn't let things go unlike the Indians. So, I'm not actually surprised that he went down with the Dam and will never be seen again. Although, personally, I believe Luciana wouldn't make it and his dad would be instead to forced to walk the Earth surrounded by the ghosts.

I'm already upset that they lost the baseball arena. Those fences around it had to be built around some standards to cope with the masses and possible case of hooliganism. I think a thousand zombies could be pressing against it and it could hold. Thing why I like the Green Diamond so much is that the arena gives you so many options. Not just shower and the green space, but it has perfectly angled slopes for the solar panel installations. With little effort you can built a whole town inside it and still have space at the underground facilities for all sorts of things. The parking lots around it offer long distance to see hordes or people. So, one of the best places after Walker's bunker at the Californian hills.

I'm confused also annoyed we are a week behind.

I want too know if Daniel died when the dam blew.

When they met Luciana again.

Why Madison is now looking out for others, not just her family and Strand.

The vultures aren't like other bad guys we have encountered.

He's status is unknown. Not dead. Not living. It's difficult to know where he's at the moment, because he didn't wash into same place as Madison and she didn't seek him afterwards.

Because she realised that in order to live in this world she is going to need living able bodies. More the better. Although, more mouths also means less food in the dire times like after Nick's crop failure. I know I said about the raised beds. They show them in the next episode. So no save there as I assume they didn't use weed suppressant in those before the bugs showed. The problem they face is food shortage and for that Vultures activity is bad one. Maybe even worse then denying people water as eventually people will grow weak from the hunger.

Me too. I don't know what went on within their heads when they put a week between the episodes. But, all in all, it's also a schedule thing. Maybe they counted that the people wouldn't be watching Fear just right after Rick failed to execute Negan.

Do you like the Zombie Wagon? A mobile base that was made to win a guerilla war in the Iraq.

I'm loving the zombie wagon, I'm hoping it stays with the reporter, hopefully they will develop her and John and not make them zombie fodder a couple of episodes down the line.

I agree. Althea is a fresh look into the TWD theme but I also think it's big nod towards Max Brooks World War Z: An Oral History. Max never made it clear that the UN agent was a man as the reader only saw the written reports ie. the survivors angle. So, all we know, Althea could ultimately be the UN reporter, although I do like her angle on wanting to hear the voices from the wild.

She keeps intriguing me more then John, but when I looked at John's character sheet at the walkingdead wiki, they showed the faces of his family making me think that there was another webseries before this season started and we are all missing that crucial bit of info about JC's past.
