So these earthmen land on a "friendly" planet that seems to accommodate them with whatever it is they want. They never see any aliens But, it has nice weather. Beautiful scenery. One crewmember notices that the grass seems to have been mowed. One crewmember even runs like a kid, takes a leap and suddenly he is flying. It continues like this until they start drilling for resources. The planet turns against them and sucks the robotic drilling rig down into the ground. Naturally the crew decides to bolt the planet. This story was in anthology I am sure. Anybody know it? Altdude

Would this be Ray Bradbury's "Here There Be Tygers"?

A truly lovely story.

Hugh! You got it! Thanks! I found it on-line and read it again. It has probably been 50 years since I first read that story. Good old Bradbury. For some reason I did not think it may be one of his. Altdude
