Sadly passed away at the age of 72.

He played the Riddler in the 60s Batman TV series and was simply brilliant at it.
Although he did many other things, this will probably be what is most remembered for.

I just finished watching the season finale of CSI, and he had a scene in it, essentially playing himself (and very well, too). Apparently it was his last performance. I thought it was really classy that even though he only passed a couple of days ago, the producers of the show took the time to add a card at the end of the closing credits acknowledging his passing.

It's good to see his talent acknowledged. For me, Gorshin, along with Cesar Romero and Burgess Meredith added real class to the Batman series. It just wouldn't have been the same without them.
