Movies with storms or otherwise interesting emphasis on weather

I'm not thinking of special-effects wallows about apocalyptic storms like The Day After Tomorrow, etc. I want "atmosphere," not gosh-wow-seen-it-before-but-still-stare-at-it stuff.

What are some good movies or classic TV shows with well-done storms or otherwise interesting weather?

I'm fond of Key Largo, Take Shelter (apocalyptic I suppose, but not a special effects wallow), various rainy-night-street noirs, etc. I like the way the Ida Lupino movie On Dangerous Ground goes from rain to snow to clear and cold skies.

I suppose movies about forest fires etc. could qualify. At least, there's a black and white Russian movie that was good on this, Letter Never Sent.

The storm on the frozen lake in Kurosawa's Dersu Uzala is great.

The Twilight Zone teleplay "Midnight Sun" does a great job of suggesting a brutal heat wave, though, yes, it's apoclayptic, but again the emphasis isn't on CGI.

Heat's effectively used in everything from The Seven Year Itch to Apocalypse Now and, to choose one from countless noirs and neo-noirs, there's Body Heat. The rain was used effectively in Blade Runner and Aliens. Interstellar has a good dust bowl thing. Snow's used well in Groundhog Day and The Empire Strikes Back. Das Boot has some good ocean-going storms with water smashing over the hatch and into the sub.

If it doesn't have to be SFF, there's The Perfect Storm, and Twister.

No, certainly doesn't have to be sf or fantasy -- I would probably prefer that the movie didn't, since sf and fantasy movies tend to be so effects-driven and disconnected from the weather-world we live in -- as they are also so often disconnected from children. But weather can make children of us again.

I remember watching The Day The Earth Caught Fire as a kid. The images of a dries up river Thames was quite striking.

There's the 1996 film White Squall where student sailors are hit by said white squall. The horrible 2004 film The Day After Tomorrow where there's a sudden ice age. The Thing has a bit of stormy weather. There was a film not too long ago called Into the Storm. There are the Coriolis storms in Dune not to mention living with little to no water.
