I'm looking for a book or short story that I read many years ago about a woman who is a clone that has been murdered multiple times. She is an artist that uses weather where her audience can experience storms. People in this world can put theirselves into an animal at a zoo and experience lida for a day as that animal. It turns out her murderer is a clone of herself in Male form. Sorry this came out like a book report.

The story in question was published as a serial in ANALOG Magazine, sometime between 1967 and this year. :) Only difference is I remember the female protagonist as some sort of city/arcology designer, and she can't remember making at least one prize-winner because part of the cloning process is recording one's brain so it can be played back into the clone's brain. She hadn't had her brain recorded often enough, and the most recent copy played back into her cloned body didn't include designing the prize-winner.

I found it. The Phantom of Kansas by John Varley. Found it in a compilation of short stories by John Varley called The Persistance of Vision.
