Sci fi hardback novel. Story has a female mc who has been kept alive 100's of years and is somehow and for some reason transported to a new planet. Apparently, this is a part of the purpose of her existence. She remains young through this time. After arriving, she crosses a plaza in a large city, hoping to not be recognized as an outsider.

I believe she is looking for money and trying to get an ID to blend in. She ends up at some corporation who wants her help (of some sort). They may recognize who or what she is?? She is unsure but is being convinced by the corp offering to help her with whatever she needs.

She feels she may have a questionable past but seems not to be able to remember everything about her 100's of years existence and what all she may have done. She reflects on her family who would have died long ago.

That isn't it- but thanks for working on it! I'll add Jenny Casey to my want to read list.

Thank you for coming back to post the answer. I'm sure that future searchers will appreciate it.

I could not find this until I changed the search to Carolyn Ives Gilman

However the OP description seems more like
Saturn's Children by Charles Stross
...curious...

Saturn's Children is about a sentient female robot, so at first glance I'm not convinced it's the title the OP is looking for.
