Jacqueline Pearce - Servalan

Today, from lung cancer at 74.

I am devastated. She was an icon to me - a strong woman in a mainstream sf show. She was happy to be sensual, and powerful and charming.

I met her at a comic con a couple of years ago and gushed about how fab I thought she was and how she had inspired (my far less charming) Empress and she just said, ‘Thank you, darling’ so gracefully.

RIP. Devastated.

She may have passed on, but her legacy as Servalan will last for a long time.

I too was utterly intimidated by her Servalan. Great shame!

Such a loss. I even based a character on Servalan in a novel, hearing the dialogue as spoken by her in my head..
