A far cry from the inept Col. Klink; one of two roles known to me, in which Klemperer portrays truly evil men. The other, is a defendant in Judgement at Nuremberg (1961). I am eager to see this film, as I only recently knew of its existence.

I don't know. I thought it was ironic that German/Austrian Jews had iconic Nazi characters.

Very Ironic , But they were fine actors all of them. Sargent Schultz was my favorite character on the show . I think only two of the original cast are still around. I would love to have seen this show get closure, The Camp Gets Liberated and Klink find out that got played by Hogan.
