Tarzan in Prehistoric Times

I once read a book based on Tarzan (or simiar-era adventurers) transported to prehistoric times. Remember a scene where someone used a pistol to down a T-Rex but remember very little else except thinking it was a great read. Would love to find it again. Think the cover was mostly orange but memory could be wrong as was several decades ago, when I was young...
