(Found) Juvenile Fiction about Scientists part of a secret organization that exists in the North and/or Arctic

I remember only a few parts of the book, but I do remember some children, tween to teenage discovering a group of scientists that secretly gathered at a secret station in the North. I also remember that the book introduces a seemingly random secondary plot that ends up tying into the book. The secondary plot involves I believe a young girl that is held in a hospital/lab and being drugged while there. Soon after she discovers this, she strives to conceal the fact that she has begun not taking the pills until she was able to escape. The book cover also was a predominantly blue shade with some imagery of snow and men in parkas.

The answer is "The 7 Professors of the Far North" by John Fardell. Took some looking up secret societies in the arctic on google results and found it at last!
