Betty Ballantine (99) -- important for paperback fantasy

It seems she deserves a lot of credit for a role in getting fantasy classics back into print

She certainly does. Although Lin Carter edited the series, it was by all accounts I've heard Ian and Betty Ballantine who conceived the idea and allowed the line to continue even though it wasn't a big money maker. I remember reading many of the books in the Ballantine Adult Fantasy Series, and they most definitely nurtured my own love of speculative fiction.
