feminist sci-fi book from 1970's

I read this sci-fi novel in 1970 at the Donnell branch on the N.Y. Public Library. Do not remember the author or the title of this hardcover book. The gist of it was that a female mad scientist had infected the world with some kind of mutant gene or virus, the effect of which was to make women bigger, stronger and more aggressive than men. Women now ruled the world and men could do nothing about that. Does anybody know the title of this book? It would be helpful for a research project on which I am working. Thanks for the help.

Five to Twelve by Edmund Cooper 1969. Read it 50 years ago, don't recall it as being exactly pro-feminist.
