Looking for the name of a book I read in 5th grade (2012/2013), can't remember the author but I do remember some of the plot. An asteroid was on a collision course with Earth, and the population only had a few days to evacuate as many people as possible (If I remember correctly only 300 people could make it), they loaded folks into a rocket and put them in cryo sleep. Characters I remember are a guy nick named Jobs, and girl who had half her face melted in a fire. I believe it was set in a futuristic 2012, but I'm not sure.

There must be dozens of possibilites here. Can you give us some more detail?

When Worlds Collide is an obvious starter.

You mention a girl with half her face melted, can you recall if something happen during the cryo voyage to cause this?

Given the figure '300', how about 'One in three hundred' by J.T. McIntosh? (all right, much earlier, and solar flare rather than asteroid strike, so not totally following the instructions…

If I remember correctly she obtained the injury several years before the events in the book, she was called two face by bullies

The main character, Jobs, got his nickname from a school project he did on Steve Jobs, and rides a self driving car to and from school. At some point in the book a city in California gets hit by the smaller meteorites in front of the big one, and an Earth quake causes a building to collapse, killing one of the characters by impaling her with rebar. The burned face girl also had small pocket editions of classic books she took with her on the ship. I also now remember it wasn't cryo, but a certain form of suspended animation. I remember that they had to put in their own feeding tubes as well.

Found it, The Mayflower Project by Katherine Applegate. Young Adult book, but terribly depressing.

Well done!
That's often the case when you really start trying to remember minor details, extra bits come rushing back and the title comes to you. :)
