For rock fans generally, and UFO fans in particular (myself included), keyboard player and guitarist, Paul Raymond died a couple of days ago (April 13th) aged 73. Regrettably he passed away after a heart attack and recently completing a UK tour with the band
I first saw UFO during their best years of the late 70s and early 80s. Of course back then most of the attention was focused on lead singer Phil Mogg and German axe king, Michael Schenker. But I do recall Raymond kept everything in good shape on keyboards, and reminded me a little bit of Charlie Watts from the Rolling Stones - unassuming, quiet but always keeping the music in check.
