Ok here goes. The plot as I remember it. Special forces team is asked to go to new Mexico or similar region to help scientists with programming mech suits. They get in them and train, then they are sent forward in time due to an explosion in the facility.
Any help would be great I want to.read the rest of the story or series.

It sounds a little like Forever Peace, published in 1997 by Joe Haldeman but unfortunately, does not fit exactly. That has "soldierboys" but not time travel. Forever Peace is NOT a sequel to The Forever War (despite what Goodreads say) but The Forever War DID deal with the effects of relativistic time travel. I also cannot remember if the facility was in Mexico, though it was in a desert (they were guerrillas all over South America and Africa.)

Please, could you take a look at the post pinned to the top of this forum and add some more details of the kind suggested in that? Those details, such as when you read the book, all help with finding it.

The Forever War had an 'after the war' sequel that told of people separated by time and space, who looped around a star at relativistic speeds to sync-up with whomever they were waiting for.

It is a trilogy maybe the last one _20190605_011009.JPG_20190605_011143.JPG

None of the suggestions given seem to tie in very well to the OP memories.
There's massive quantities of mech-suit stories out there but not where an explosion sends them to the future.

This is going to take a bit of effort
