Sole survivor on alien planet with ribbon plants?

Hi!
My Mum read a book many years ago (she thinks in the 80s), about a man who crash lands on an alien planet and has to survive.
She remembers there being strange “ribbon plants” but not a lot else!
She’s convinced the title was something like “Robinson Crusoe in Space”, although no searches for this or anything similar are fruitful. Definitely not the “Robinson Crusoe on Mars” movie.

Hi,

There were definitely plants in shipwreck, but I don't remember them being ribbons (though it's been a long time). There were also sea creatures - dolphin like. Ask her if the last line is - "And there on that rock by the edge of the sea, he died." If it is it's Shipwreck. If he gets away it definitely isn't.
