My first experience of Rip was the baddie in The Beastmaster from 1982. One of my childhood favourites, and he was so memerable. Such a charismatic screen presence.

That's a pity. I never saw him in a bad roll. Pity about the name, but it was memorable and his reliability as a terrific character actor was such that he had little trouble making a decent career for himself. RIP Rip.
