Holy total confusion!
I had to go back and watch the season 4 finale to get a grip on what's going on here. Either I didn't see the last couple of minutes, or I completely forgot them.
I initially thought I had missed a whole episode or two. That's one of the hazards of long stretches between seasons.
OK, mass illusion held in place by frequent brainwashing decontamination showers is the explanation. Funny, although the Lady had access to the characters' memories, she could only approximate their roles in the world she created.
One of the funniest aberrations is Pree moving from bar owner to local sheriff, followed closely by his former employee/boyfriend who now doesn't see himself as a bartender. My favorite transformed character is Zeph as "Stinky Raincoat." I hope she recovers from her gunshot wound, despite Dutch's egg-salad sandwich supported surgery and post-op duct tape patch-up.
Lots of other chuckles in the dialog. This is shaping up to be a phenomenal final season.
Dare we hope that some streaming service will pick the show up?
