Read a book in the 80s that had a town destroyed by a meteor at the beginning of the book.
Flash forward 50 years and the site of the original town is a deep crater tourist attraction. One of the visitors is in the crater when his arm is blown. No one knows how it's happened. Long story short, the town they thought destroyed had been blasted into the future and it's rapidly beginning to come back. That's all I can remember of the story. Any help with a title would be appreciated. Cheers
