(Found) I am looking for a book about a young boy that goes into a haunted house but ends up being kidnapped and taken to another dimension

I read this book sometime in the early 2000s. The main character was a young boy who lives in the modern world and a normal life until he decided to go to a haunted house. He was kidnapped and taken to another dimension where he had to learn to survive. Along the way he joined a clan or a guild or something that searches different places for treasures.
That's all I remember. If you could give me some information about it that would be appreciated.
