I totally agree about his voice, so depressed.

The thing I didn't like about the TV series and the film was that Marvin was an android, not some stupid toy robot. I always imagined him more like Kryten from Red Dwarf.
I would have loved to see Stephen Moore playing the part, limping around

I have just found an audiobook on You-tube.

Stephen Moore reads the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Also available, he reads The restaurant at the end of the universe, and So long and thanks for all the fish. But you'll find the links to them if you go to this one.

Personally I could listen, with pleasure, to him reading the instructions on a packet of cornflakes. So I expext to be well please for several hours with these ones.
