OK so I read this book a long time ago.... Maybe 2000 where a boy discovers basically a portal to another world behind his bedroom wall under his bed. He goes in and there is a people group and they needed saving and somehow he was the only one who could do it. There's like an epi center type thing and the closer you get to it time moves slower

He saves the people and when he comes out several years have passed and he's been missing the whole time.
